How can I get so little done in a day?

I can't believe it's been almost a month since my last post! (I guess that whole post every week thing seems to have slipped already...) It's amazing that I am home everyday and yet still have no time to get anything done! Ella takes up all my time. If I am not looking after her (which I am doing most of the time), I am trying to keep the house clean, sleeping, or trying to knit a couple rows before she wakes up again.

I really have a huge amount of respect for new mothers with older children. How they look after a newborn with another child, or two, demanding attention is beyond me... Is it something that develops or are they just born with skills I don't have? Hopefully I will soon get better at this.

Ella is now 3 months old! Count them, 3! I can't believe it has already been so long! It's so amazing how time has changed so much for me. I mean in the way that time just doesn't get counted in the same way it used to. Before Ella 3 months meant nothing to me. Three months was just a flash in time. Now it feels like a lifetime! I can't believe that in three more short months she will be 6 months old! That is half of a year! That is just crazy.

So, what have I been spending my down time with lately, since I haven't been blogging?
I have been busy designing this...

This is the new logo for this years WWKIP.

Well, Lesley and I have been working hard on this year's WWKIP event. We have been planning and working on getting things ready for the big day, June 13th. Even though we did this last year, (and things are going much smoother than last time) time still seems to be running away from us. When we first started talking about getting ready, it seemed like we were getting such a jump on things. Then, we didn't get to work fast enough and now we feel behind again. Isn't it funny how that happens when you don't work enough on something...

When I get the chance I have been knitting. I have been working on Ella's blanket. The four tree squares are now done. I have also changed my plan.

I am now going to use cable patterns for the four corners and the center square. Now I just need to pick the colours for the four corner squares...
One thing I have picked for the blanket is the fabric backing.

Isn't it cute!
I can't wait until it is all done. I hope it looks as good as I envision it.

Well it's late and I have to get to bed before Ella wakes up again to be fed...
